Alexandra Najarro was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario on June 3, 1993. She started skating at the age of 5 at the Mississauga Figure Skating Club with her mother Eva as her coach.

Since 2001 Alexandra has trained at the York Region Skating Academy (Y.R.S.A.) with coach Tracey Wainman. Alexandra is a dedicated competitor and trains daily in between her school. In 2004 her family moved from Mississauga to Vaughan to accommodate Alexandra's busy skating schedule.

Alexandra attends a local High School and is in a French Immersion program. Alexandra is fluent in English and French, as well as she speaks Polish and Spanish' mother tongues of her parents. In addition to skating, Alexandra has many hobbies and interests; she loves acting and had a role in Walt Disney's movie Ice Princess. She also loves dancing and designing clothes. In her spare time she loves playing tennis, swimming and going to the movies with her friends.
