Kimberly Moon-Chong, Novice Women, Gold Medalist

Kimberley Moon-Chong crowned Novice Women Champion of Canada
(January 14, 2010)

Kimberly Moon-Chong of York Region Skating Academy Winter Club skated away with the Gold medal around her neck last night. After the short program Kimberly was in first place with a score of 38.69. She delivered a solid performance on Wednesday night during the free programs and received a score of 64.19. Kimberly finished with an overall score of 102.88.

Congratulations Kimberly!

Nicole Boyle of York Regional Skating Academy Winter Club finished in 18th place with an overall score of 70.88.

YRSA is the proud recipient of the 2006/2007 Central Ontario Team Trophy from Skate Canada.

Kudos - We are bursting with pride!
Golden performances by our very own Alexandra Najarro (Pre-Novice Ladies) and Andrei Rogozine (Novice Men).
At the Junior Nationals held earlier in Brampton, Ontario, Alexandra finished in first place for the Gold Medal while Andrei held tough for the Silver Medal. They both capped off their winning season with first place Golden finishes at the Canada Winter Games held in Whitehorse, Yukon.
